Welcome to The Well-Being Cafe! My name is Ruth and I’m a Positive Psychology Practitioner, Coach, and student of life.

When I was in school, I struggled quite severely with my mental health. Over time, I discovered transformative tools online—topics like mindset, mindfulness, positive psychology, and CBT—that gradually helped me heal and grow. This personal journey ignited my passion for psychology, leading me to study it at both BSc and MSc levels. My I chose to study an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, where I deepened my understanding of the science of well-being and human potential.

Now I’m on a mission to provide others with the tools, resources, and information I wish I’d had in the past. The Well-Being Cafe was created as a warm, supportive space—much like your favorite cozy cafe—where you can explore practical articles on positive psychology and access additional resources like workbooks and coaching.

The Well-Being Cafe is where science meets real life. I share practical insights from positive psychology and related fields in a relaxed, approachable way. Whether you’re looking for scientifically backed strategies or personal experiences, the blog is a blend of theory, self-help, and relatable stories designed to help you take charge of your own well-being. It’s all about providing the most valuable tools in an enjoyable, laid-back style—making the science of happiness and well-being accessible to everyone.

 

Coaching and Services

I offer positive psychology coaching, behaviour change coaching, and well-being coaching (a holistic blend of the two). My coaching approach is also heavily influence by principles from CBT and Humanistic Psychotherapy. For those unable to commit to 1:1 coaching, I offer a Behaviour Change Workbook—an affordable alternative or complement to coaching. Future workbooks will cover topics such as resilience, meaning and purpose, CBT, mindset, strengths, and more. These workbooks are grounded in current psychological theories and designed to mimic the coaching experience, helping you take control of your well-being independently.
